Goa is one of the smallest states, but has the largest and the highest number of beaches in any city. 1. Dona Paula Beach
Dona Pauls beach is the best place for lovers or couples. It is also nicknamed as lovers’ paradise. It is a beautiful beach to fall in love at or fall in love with. The sand is a beautiful hue of bronze with palm trees aplenty along the sides of the beach. The beautiful scenery also usually makes people stay for the sunset and observe as the sky turns various shades of pink.

There also exists a small tale about this beach. The legend says that there was a beautiful princess named Donna Paula, who fell in love with a fisherman. Her father, a Portuguese viceroy forbade her to meet him, so she gave her life in the waters of this beach. The viceroy named this beach in memory of his daughter.
2. Morjim beach
As compared to other beaches, Morjim beach has a rustic feel to it. It is lined with beach huts and sun beds for tourists to spend leisurely time here. Often, it is called a bird lover’s paradise because of varied species of feathered friends found here. Here fauna truly shines through. Olive ridley turtles can be seen basking and dolphins can be seen swimming close to the horizon. It’s a great beach to lounge at while watching all the animals.
3. Palolem Beach
Palolem beach hosts the quirkiest of accommodations in Goa. Every year, locals in goa set up these small coconut huts, where travellers can spend the night. 4. Vagator Beach

One of Goa’s most picturesque locations – the head of a hindu deity carved on the shore, is present on the Vagator Beach.
